Life's NOt a Bed of Roses

You dont get everything laid out for you. You tread the tough terrain and then you get there. Once you do.. sometimes a recap of the past and the route you ended up amazes you. 'Did I do that?' You ask yourself and find the same answer over and over again. Who's there by your side to ascertain its your success or its your failure? You are responsible for it all. Finally its your life - live it or leave it alone!

Agree. Adversities build character in a person.

A quote by an American educator from the early 1900s highlights the same thought very eloquently:

“I have learned that success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has had to overcome while trying to succeed.”

we all say life is a journey .most of the times we take this journey either to reach the destination ( do we really know that destination tho ?) or some charmers sheerly enjoy the joy of travel. experiences differ , situations differ, culture differs, hence people differ and so does their perspective to life.so we are all different on this planet ...is it? as many minds as much of human existance on this earth...what remains same then ? is it nothing? what bonds us then if every one is different? only blood connections? certain things never differ irrespective of experience , culture, situations.Like a mother'slove , a heartbreak, true love for someone who has penetrated the soul, the joy of sacrifice, the power of asceticism, the monks motto, the heartbeat of a couple kissing for the first time, the 21 yr old's excitement on graduation , a giving wife's unconditional love for her husband , and few more like this.Wen we cant comprehend why cetain things happen with us and not others , we call it LUCK ! We desire , we fail.We desire , we gain.and the equation is always not fair to all.at times it leaves us questioning , at times content , most of the times dissappointed ...do we lose hope? yes we do ..but can that lost hope bring good to us or anyone around us ? No ..it cant ...life taught me one thing..share ur joys but the sorrows are essentially your own...what "Luck " has for you , you will have that , no analysis , or management can get you rid of it..we talk of "Karma" ..and we know " Good Karma" will yield good results ...but is the equation always fair? i would say "no" .MY EXPERIENCES led me to infer not everything has a concrete result ..and so does karma ..i meant "CONCRETE"...somthing that we can evaluate and judge..and i did not stop good karma as well...by then it had dissolved in my blood so much , i had stopped expecting the result of good karma externally.the result now i derive is more satisfactory and full of contentment ..because that is internal..the result of that good karma affects directly my soul, my feeling of sacrifice , my expectationless heart , and NOT ANY MORE the " material desires" , " bank balance" , " societal status" .Few harsh words hurt me more than my ever receding bank balance .A brutal act of inhumanity hurts me more than not having most luxuries in life. And a wonderful human being gives me the joy that nothing on earth can buy me :) ...i love myself that i could elevate myself to a platform now wich neverthless denies existentialism, but definitely which propagates me to look within myself..to give than receive, to love than be loved, to serve than being served, to show than see , to feed than eat, to LIVE than LEAVE .....and that will be my journey of life ...destination will choose its own name :)
